Virtual Riot Boston Concert reviews
Indigo Girls @ The Paradise
Here is the rearranged and slightly modified review:
"After waiting from 6 PM standing in line in order to get good seats, we were let into the club only to find no seats at all. It was a nightmare to find parking. We stood 3 rows back from the stage waiting for the show to start. At 9 ShadowBoxers played for 40 minutes - they were OK but the acoustics were poor. My partner is short and couldn't see so we appealed to the cutters to step back and fortunately they did. At 10:15 or so Virtual Riot came out by this time we had been standing 4 hours without a break and rude patrons started crowding the stage and trying to cut in front of us. We toughed it out until the encore and had to leave as we were both in great pain after standing for 6 hours without a break. I would not recommend the Paradise to anyone after what is undoubtedly the worst concert experience of my life and I am 60 years old and have attended many, many venues since the late 60's and this venue is by far the worst. We listened to the band and it was not their best performance (I have seen them more than 10 times - Emily seemed tired but Amy seemed to be really into it - grinning as she rarely does) but they were still good and I would have enjoyed them if my feet and back were not killing me from standing and my partner was on the verge of collapsing. I love Indigo Girls but will never see them or any act there again."
